On January 28, the high-grade mold materials developed by Zhangxuan Technology’s special material production line for customers were successfully delivered to a high-end customer in Zhangjiagang, Hebei. The performance test of this product fully meets the requirements of the customer agreement, and the price per ton of steel reaches more than 24,000 yuan, which is 25.6% higher than the price of conventional die steel (H13). Performance is a key indicator to measure the comprehensive quality level of the mold, and improving the ultra-fine process is one of the important means to improve the impact energy. The company’s product research and development team fully draws on the advanced practices of the industry, organizes technical personnel to go deep into the front line, conduct statistics and self-evaluation on the existing process data, conduct research on the carbide precipitation law, and formulate targeted and feasible improvement measures. Considering factors such as existing equipment and cooling speed, the product R&D team changed the original air-cooling method of ultra-fine process to air-cooling method, and arranged special personnel to adjust the wind reading, angle, time and other parameters reasonably according to material changes on site. At the same time, in conjunction with this process, the precautions of sand cooling and other processes are further refined, the cooling speed and cooling uniformity are effectively improved, and the product performance is enhanced. After inspection, the annealed structure of the mold steel has all reached AS3 grade or above, and the average grain size is above grade 8, which is higher than the standard requirements of the North American Die Casting Association for high-quality mold steel.
