Steel billets: The first step in the process is to obtain steel billets, which are long bars of raw steel. These are typically made from recycled scrap metal.
Heating: The billets are heated in a furnace to a temperature of around 1200-1300°C. This makes the steel more malleable and easier to shape.
Rolling: The heated billets are then passed through a series of rollers to shape them into the desired size and shape. The rollers apply pressure to the steel, causing it to deform and elongate.
Cooling: After the rebar has been shaped, it is cooled using a water spray or air jet. This helps to harden the steel and make it stronger.
Cutting: The cooled rebar is then cut into the desired lengths using a saw or shear.
Marking: Finally, the rebar is marked with identifying information, such as the size, grade, and manufacturer.
